Chinatown is one of New York City's busiest and most colorful neighborhoods. Although visitors flock here for popular annual celebrations like the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival and the Lunar New Year Parade and Festival, it's a fantastic destinations for families year-round. You can eat at one of the many wonderful dim sum restaurants, browse the cool (and usual inexpensive) wares in all of the shops, try the exotic flavors at the amazing Chinatown Ice Cream Factory (No. 57 on our list of 100 Things to Do in NYC with Kids Before They Grow Up), run around at the state-of-the-art Hester Street Playground and learn about the immigrant experience at the Museum of Chinese in America. We hope the articles, map and other resources on this page will inspire many fun-filled trips to Chinatown.
