Olvera Street hosts its annual celebration of the festive Mexican holiday when families remember their ancestors and the continuity of life.
Festival-goers can enjoy face painting, entertainment, community altars (ofrendas) (on display October 29 through November 2), as well as a theatrical production of La Danza de la Muerte daily at 6pm, and a nightly candlelight Novenario Procession (Parade of Living Muertos) at 7pm.
Saturday and Sunday there is entertainment and face painting starting at 11am; on Wednesday and Thursday the face painting starts at 4pm. The ofrendas are on display all week. Teatro del Barrio presents La Danza de la Muerte nightly at 6pm.
