Monterey Park's Lunar New Year Festival takes place in the downtown business district, featuring 5 blocks of booths, rides, and entertainment and drawing tens of thousands of visitors.
The 2024 Festival celebrates Year of the Dragon.
The festival takes place on Garvey Avenue between Garfield and Alhambra Avenues.
The traditional New Year lion and dragon dancers kick-off the festival Saturday morning, with additional entertainment continuing throughout the weekend.
A large carnival fun zone is featured in parking lots at the corner of Garvey and Lincoln Avenues.
