The Best Hayrides For Long Island Kids in Suffolk County
1. Benner's Farm – East Setauket
Every Saturday and Sunday in October enjoy hayrides at Benner's farm from 12pm-4pm. There is also pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, and a big swing for kids to enjoy. Moms and dads will appreciate all of the fresh produce for sale.
2. Fink's Country Farm – Wading River
The annual fall festival opens September 10 and runs on weekends and holidays through October. Fink's is perfect for younger kids. After the hayride, check out the barn o' corn, where kids can play in a giant pit of corn kernels. Visit with the farm animals and, of course, pick out a pumpkin.

3. Suffolk County Farm and Education Center – Yaphank
Take a hayride tour around the working farm. You'll pass not only the pumpkin patch but many of the farm's animals as well. They also offer wagon rides in the evening that tour the sunflower fields. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
4. The Pickle Festival at John Gardiner Farm – Huntington
On September 17, enjoy hayrides, a corn maze, specialty pickles, and a lollipop train ride at The Pickle Festival at John Gardiner Farm. The festival will run from 10am until 5pm.
5. Schmitt's Farm – Melville
Fall is a blossoming bouquet of fun at Schmitt's Farm in Melville from September 17 through October 30. This fall, enjoy a daytime corn maze, pumpkin picking, a playground with inflatables, hayrides, and pony rides. Moms and dads will relish the chance to purchase fresh fruits, veggies, preserves, and autumn decor at the farm stand.
6. White Post Farm – Melville
The Fall Festival at White Post Farms runs from September 21 through October 27. The price of admission includes a Kids' Stage Show, Exotic Bird Show, Animal Farm, Singin' Chicken Show, Play in The Hay, and unlimited use of Bounce N' Slides. The animal farm has been voted "Best on Long Island" for two years in a row. Don't miss out on the tasty roasted corn, banana bread, and homemade pies.

The Best Hayrides for Long Island Kids on the East End
7. Hank's Pumpkintown – Water Mill
Pick pumpkins straight off the vine at Hank's. The hayrides and tractor rides are narrated adventures taking guests through the entire farm. In addition to the rides, guests can tackle the giant corn maze and jump on the huge bounce pillow.
8. Seven Pond's Orchard – Water Mill
Pick apples like Ginger Gold, Gala, and Snow Sweet before hopping on the hayrides and life-sized wooden toys at Seven Ponds Orchard. Guests can also pick their own eggplant, snap peas, and sunflowers. The fee is $9 per person. Seven Pond's Orchard is open daily from 9am-6pm.
9. Stakey's Pumpkin Farm – Aquebogue
The hayride takes you around the 26-acre farm, passing the corn maze and picking fields. Pricing is $8 per person to ride. Opening day is September 17.
