Update: this event has been rescheduled to a new date: February 27.
826LA is back with free creative workshops at the Hammer Museum. January's workshop finds inspiration in K-pop artists.
In this multi-modal focused workshop, young writers explore the varied emotions and writing styles of K-pop artists. Writers develop the tools necessary to compose their own written and visual expressions.
Participants discuss and look at various K-pop artists, both popular and underground, and note the change in both writing styles and emotional expressions within songs. Writers will have the opportunity to create a visual representation of their connection to their chosen artist and song.
These free workshops are designed for up to 20 students. Reservations are encouraged: either online or by calling 310-915-0200. Drop-ins are welcome, if space allows.
Per LA City ordinance, proof of COVID-19 full vaccination, or negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours, and valid photo ID is required upon entry to the museum
