NHM Commons Opening Day Celebration

The Natural History Museum celebrates the opening of its new wing, NHM Commons, with a day-long, outdoor-indoor, museum-wide festival.

Guests can be among the first visitors to see Gnatalie, the 70-foot green-boned sauropod.

Activities include: 

  • A Block Party on the new Plaza, with a community resource fair, food trucks, and music 
  • Live performances and engaging discussions in the brand-new Commons Theater.
  • Opportunities to meet and talk with NHM scientists
  • Up-close collection previews from the Museum's collections
  • Hands-on activities and artist workshops
