Natural History Museum

event

The wonders of the natural world are on display at the Natural History Museum of LA County. Perhaps best known for its Dino Hall, the museum also has galleries and exhibitions devoted to mammals, birds, local legend P-22, gems and minerals, and Los Angeles itself.

The seasonal Butterfly Pavilion and Spider Pavilion are local favorites. Annual festivities include Dino Fest and Bug Fair. The Museum is now home to the immersive Halloween experience Boney Island, and don't miss the hands-on educational Discovery Center and Nature Lab and the beautiful outdoor Nature Gardens.

Newly unearthed dinosaur Gnatalie, a 70-foot green-boned sauropod, will be making her debut at the NHM Commons, an expansion of the museum set to open in November 2024.

LA County residents get free admission to the museum 3pm - 5pm Monday to Friday,
