Chestnut Hill on Ice

This two day festival along Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill is packed with cold weather activities and is perfect for a fun socially-distant winter outing. Live ice sculpting, an iceless ice skating rink, an appearance by the snow queens, cozy bonfires, and even axe throwing for big kids are among the offers for this jam-packed event.

The event times are as follows:

Friday, January 29:  5pm to 9pm
Sunday, January 30: 12pm to 6pm (note: events originally scheduled for Saturday have been moved to Sunday due to snow)

Highlights include:

  • Iceless Ice Skating Rink: Saturday, Jan 29 at 150 E. Evergreen Ave; tickets can be purchased online for $15 per person
  • Ice Sculptures & Live Carving Demonstrations: Friday, Jan 28, 6:30pm to 7:30pm; Saturday, Jan 29, 1:00pm to 3pm at 8125 Germantown Ave
  • Axe-Throwing for ages 14 and up: tickets can be purchased online for $15 per person
  • Meet the Snow Queens: Saturday, Jan 29, 12pm to 2pm at 150 East Evergreen Ave
