Ready … set … it's time to get lost in a New Jersey corn maze! The Garden State is home to oodles of spectacular corn mazes, ranging from massive, 10-acre labyrinths to simple, child-friendly courses with fun attractions like hay bale mazes just right for toddlers and preschoolers.

Games and clues enhance many of the more elaborate corn maze experiences. Got a tween or teen? Some of these corn mazes offer haunted after-hours experiences for a spooky, nighttime adventure.

Most corn mazes in New Jersey open in mid-September. Some are open on weekdays, while others are only open on weekends. Be sure to click through to each venue's website for updated safety and reservation guidelines.

1. Heaven Hill Farm – Vernon

Heaven Hill Farm has a lot going on—in a good way. This year's maze celebrates the 40th anniversary of the farm. The maze is split into two sections, with a separate entrance for the shorter kids' maze. The farm's Great Pumpkin Festivaoffers tons of other activities, games, and hands-on exhibits as well, and runs from September 16th through November 5th.

2. Secor Farms – Mahwah

This farm has it all, including a petting zoo, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, and yes, a corn maze (plus an easier hay maze for younger kids). Don't forget to grab an apple cider doughnut on your way out! The fall season officially kicks off Saturday, September 16.

3. Fairfield Farms – Fairfield

This Essex County spot offers a kid-friendly, 5-acre corn maze with shortcuts built-in for the impatient or attention-challenged. You'll also find slides, story times, a rolling tube ride, and a pumpkin launch. Kids can pick a pumpkin while parents pick up fall decor from the store. Enjoy hayrides, refreshments, and more fall fun just for families. The season opens on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

The 10-acre corn maze at Alstede Farms is a serious challenge.

4. Alstede Farms – Chester

Alstede Farms brings tons of autumn fun each year, including a 10-acre corn maze. Open daily, Alstede also offers wagon rides to apple and pumpkin picking, a petting zoo, and pony rides. There's also a giant Blooming Sunflower Trail and an evergreen tree maze! The corn maze opens Friday, September 1, 2023, and is included with pick-your-own admission.

5. Ort Farms – Long Valley

This family-friendly corn maze offers visitors an adventure of twists and turns along its path and is open daily through October. Hayrides, cow train rides, monster truck rides, farm animals, and a pumpkin patch round out the Ort Farms fall fun. 

6. Stony Hill Farm Market – Chester

With so many mazes and activities to choose from at Stony Hill, you may never find your way out of the maze park! Each year's maze theme has a unique theme and you can phone a friend—actually, the Maze Master—to help you get out of the maze if you get lost. 

7. Corn Maze Train – Phillipsburg

Climb aboard the Delaware River Railroad Excursions' steam locomotive to take a ride to an awesome corn maze. Families have a blast navigating through a choice of two mazes, with clues to solve the maze hidden within. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on-site. The train runs weekends through October. Plan to visit the Ole' Susquehanna mine and pan for gems during your trip, too. 

8. Donaldson Farms – Hackettstown

Explore this corn maze and help support a good cause: $1 from every ticket sold goes to support The Arc of Warren County, which helps people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities live a good life. Once you’ve navigated out of the maze, enjoy the rest of the Fall Harvest weekend activities, like pumpkin and apple picking, and hayrides. The corn maze is open from the last weekend in September through October.

9. Wightman Farms – Morristown

Beyond the giant corn maze, Wightman Farms is also home to a hale bay maze, rope maze, paver maze, rock labyrinth, hale bale pyramid, and a hale bale tunnel. An all-access weekend pass also gives you unlimited hayrides and access to apple picking. The popular pumpkin slingshot is an additional fee and is open on weekends.

10. Von Thun Farms – South Brunswick and Washington

Double the fun, both locations of Von Thun Farms offer a corn maze plus other fall farm activities. Admission to the maze is included with your Fall Festival weekend ticket, from Saturday, September 16–Tuesday, October 31, 2023, or you can visit daily from 1-5pm in October. Bring your camera and flashlight to the South Brunswick location's Moonlight Corn Maze on the last two weekends of October to try finding your way around in the dark. You can also make s'mores by the campfire. 

11. Casola Farms – Holmdel

Tons of fall fun awaits at Casola Farms, and its fall fest runs from Sunday, September 17, 2023, through Halloween. The corn maze is open on weekends only, along with a daytime haunted sunflower maze. Enjoy a petting zoo, haunted house, hay and pony rides, and a petting zoo. Face painting is also available on weekends. Also, check out the fall fest on Sunday, September 10, which has FREE admission!

12. Howell Living History Farm – Lambertville

Head back to the early 1900s at New Jersey's longest-running corn maze, which opens for the season on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at this living history farm. Covering 4 acres with numerous paths, clues help visitors find their way out. More fall farm fun includes a pumpkin patch, hayrides, and food.

13. Happy Day Farm – Manalapan

Celebrating 10 years this year, the Happy Day Farm corn maze is sure to put a smile on your face. Play Maize-O-Poly as you navigate the maze in search of squares to complete your game board. Worried about getting lost? Send a corn text to the question master; answer his question correctly and you'll get a hint on which way to turn. The 10-acre maze is open on weekends only in September and every day but Tuesday in October. The corn maze includes two paths: a shorter, 15- to 25-minute maze for youngsters, and a more challenging path that can take up to 60 minutes. Voted one of America's top ten corn mazes! 

14. Bullock Farms – Cream Ridge

This family-owned farm has not one, not two, but three mazes for fall fun: a 6-acre corn maze that winds along the side of a hill, plus two smaller mazes designed for younger kids. A 25-minute hayride takes you to the pumpkin patch, then swing by the barnyard to see the farm animals and play games. Bullock Farms is open Friday–Sunday with pumpkin picking starting in mid-September.

15. Etsch Farms – Monroe Township

Get lost in this 8-acre corn maze, with a crossword puzzle game hidden throughout the maze for an extra challenge. Not ready to master this maze? A smaller and easier maze is available and great for toddlers to run through. Before you leave, take a ride on the corn train. The corn maze is open on weekends in September and October. 16. Argos Farm – Forked River

The Argos Farm corn maze is a manageable 4 acres. Once you make it through, stick around for pumpkin picking, hay and pony rides, a zip line, an obstacle course, and more. Fall festival weekends run from  Saturday, September 16–Sunday, October 29, 2023. 

17. Emery's Farm – New Egypt

Emery's Farms boasts an impressive 7-acre corn maze, with a Treasure Hunt game to play while you walk the maze. Swing by weekends, from the last weekend in September through the end of October. There's also a smaller, 2-acre Treasure Hunt maze and straw bale maze perfectly sized for littles open daily. Hay rides and farm animals round out the fun.

18. Johnson's Corner Farm – Medford

Available weekends only, the corn maze makes the perfect complement to a full day of fall fun at Johnson's Corner Farm. Other traditional fall goodies are available here, including apple and pumpkin picking, hay rides, a barnyard with games and animals, and a festival food tent serving up delicious treats. 

19. Sahl's Father Son Farm – Galloway

This Atlantic County mega-maze is open from Sunday, September 24-Sunday, October 29, and spans about 10 acres. It features a creative maze adventure that invites visitors to play "The Farm Scene Investigation" game to solve the "cornundrum" of what happened to Farmer John. Other fall farm events include hayrides, a pumpkin patch, and plenty of farm animals to visit for the full country effect.

20. Mood's Farm Market – Mullica Hill

This corn maze has a theme each year–this year the theme is famous paintings–and is festive and fun for the whole family. Other activities include pumpkin painting, a pumpkin obstacle course, and scarecrow making. Starts on September 9, 2023 and runs through October and is open daily except on Sundays.
