Monday, August 2 See the CityParks PuppetMobile when it stops at Lost Battalion Hall in Queens.

Tuesday, August 3 Playgrounds are always FREE. Check out one of our favorite romping spots in Central Park, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, or Riverside Park.

Wednesday, August 4 Lounge in Madison Square Park for an evening concert from Ensemble Connect, part of the Carnegie Hall Citywide concert series.

Thursday, August 5 Enjoy kid-friendly crafts and activities, plus a DJ-led dance party in Dumbo.

Friday, August 6 Catch up with Woody, Buzz, and the gang when Toy Story 4 plays in Queens' Corcheron Park.

Saturday, August 7 It's BRIC Family Day. Catch LADAMA, Tiga Jean-Baptiste, DJ Ali Coleman on stage today.

Sunday, August 8 Join the Billion Oyster Project for an eco-educational program aboard the Baylander, a Vietnam-era ship docked in West Harlem Piers Park.

Monday, August 9 Beat the heat with a dip in one of our favorite FREE NYC pools.

Tuesday, August 10 Pick up a new sport. Tweens and teens can participate in the Harlem Summer Games and learn rugby in Morningside Park.

Wednesday, August 11 Head to the Bronx Zoo for its FREE admission day, but plan to book your timed-entry tickets when the site opens Monday at 5pm.

Thursday, August 12 Riverside Park is the backdrop for The Count of Monte Cristo performed by Hudson Warehouse actors in front of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument four nights a week through Sunday, August 29.

Friday, August 13 Stare at the stars during an astronomy workshop with the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Saturday, August 14 Head to West Harlem Piers Park for a Summer on the Hudson Play Date featuring live entertainment and grab-and-go arts and crafts.

Sunday, August 15 Peep some fancy footwork when the Battery Dance Festival takes up residence in Wagner Park for a week-long run.

Monday, August 16 Before computers, the printed word relied on letterpress machines. Take a trip back in time and watch printing demos on various presses just outside the South Street Seaport Museum.

Tuesday, August 17 Have a museum day. It's always pay-what-you-wish for residents at AMNH and The Met.

Wednesday, August 18 Walk the Coney Island boardwalk, dip your toes in the sea, and see the sharks at the NY Aquarium, which offers gratis admission in the late afternoons (advance tickets required).

Thursday, August 19 It's free to browse the wares at Harry Potter New York.

Friday, August 20 Wander the west side to explore the brand new park spaces Little Island, Pier 26, and Pier 76.

Saturday, August 21 Join community org Rocking the Boat for rowing on the Bronx River.

Sunday, August 22 Get moving with a Chelsea Piers family fitness class in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Monday, August 23 Big news: Bryant Park Movie Nights are back! While the titles haven't been released, bookmark this date in your calendar!

Tuesday, August 24 Play a free game of miniature golf at the Industry City, Brooklyn.

Wednesday, August 25 See the landmark Yayo Kusama exhibition at the New York Botanical Garden, which offers free resident admission today.

Friday, August 27 Stave off summer's heat with a visit to one of these 25 spraygrounds across the five boroughs.

Saturday, August 28 Hit the Boogie Down Bronx for international eats at the Bronx Night Market, but be sure to pack some cash to indulge in the eats.

Sunday, August 29 Catch a cool breeze off the Long Island Sound with a beach day at Orchard Beach. Be sure to check out the seaside playground before heading home.

Monday, August 30 Escape to the action-packed Governors Island. There's less programming on weekdays, but also fewer people. Take advantage of the FREE weekday bike rentals when you arrive. The ferry is FREE for kids, and parents can score gratis tickets if they have IDNYC cards, are NYCHA residents, or military personnel.

Tuesday, August 31 Shoot some hoops and pick up some skills at a FREE basketball clinic in the action-packed Brooklyn Bridge Park.
